TOMS Ballet Flats
I have a love/hate relationship with TOMS (love the wedges, hate the elfin-looking original flats). Today my love quotient has been upped with the introduction of their Ballet Flats. These come in a variety of textiles and colors and are definitely worth checking out, especially with TOMS commitment to giving.

Her Royal.....Hosiery?
Enter my trepidation when I read this article yesterday about Princess Kate rocking sheer hose out and about. Admittedly, the hosiery Kate is wearing is a far cry from those dance team tights circa 1997, and her legs look great, but....I don't know if I am sold on this trend for the general population.
What's next? A comeback of slips (which Lauren and I both agree are way under-utilized)?
Thoughts from the crowd?

Wedding Wednesday: Shabby Apple Dresses
We're always on the lookout for finds that are both adorable and a deal. Shabby Apple is a great example. How cute is the dress below for bridesmaids in a casual wedding? Finally, something that your maids really could wear again.

Spring Closet Cleaning
In an effort to lend some organization to my life, I recently completed a major closet purge. Shoes, clothes, bags, you name it. I tried to stick to the "if I haven't worn it in two years, it's time to get rid of it" mantra, with a few exceptions for high-end classic pieces and special occasion dresses. Over 8 bags of cast-offs later (some pictured here), I have to admit, I was quite happy with the results.

Liberty of London
Has anyone checked out the Liberty of London line at Target? A branch of the original UK line, the items at Target are fun, springy, and so reasonably priced! Definitely worth checking out....

The Skinny
I have spent the past few years fighting the "skinny jean" trend. When I finally decided to give in this winter, it was with much trepidation, and the move was definitely fueled by a desire to wear my equestrian boots with something other than leggings. At the recommendation of a friend, I was able to track down an extremely reasonably priced pair of skinny jeans that I have grown to love.Last week, I added a second pair of "skinny" pants to my wardrobe, and I am in love. These AG Stevie cords from Anthropologie are amazing. The wales themselves are super skinny (no pun intended) and the slight stretch from the lycra blend makes them hug in all the right places without being obscenely tight, which is a personal fear.
If you are thinking about adding a little more skinny to your closet, I cannot recommend these enough! They are also on sale right now. Do you really need another reason to pick them up?

lululemon pants

Has anyone tried lululemon workout pants?
After having them recommended by a few very fit friends and reading about them in various media outlets, I decided to give in and make the purchase. The Groove Pant did not disappoint - even with its hefty price tag, as far as yoga pants go. As promised, they lifted in all the right places and just feel good to wear. Each pair is reversible and there are so many cute colored band options! They seem to have customer service down pat - offering free hemming of pants purchased in their stores.
After buying into the hype and spending more than I would like to admit, I would still recommend these to anyone! Order soon and enjoy free shipping until November 15!

Where is Fall?

Here on the East Coast, we have been having especially cold and rainy weather these past few days, and it looks like it will be staying for a few more.
I am about one raindrop away from ordering myself a pair of these to help make the wet weather a little more fun!
