As it gets a bit warmer I have been thinking about tomato sandwiches, which I think of as a southern classic. My northern fiance definitely finds the idea of a tomato sandwich (toasted white bread, mayo, tomato slices, salt) weird, if not outright disgusting. For all of you displaced people out there, what is your comfort food from home?

Brunswick stew (known as "slow soup" when we were kids) and grilled cheese
Mmmm brunswick stew. My mother would like me to point out that the toasted bread is a personal preference and that plain white bread is the norm for tomato sandwiches.
mmmm, tomato sandwiches definitely remind me of summer and home!
what great timing - I just got back from a long weekend in Savannah. We took the Foody tour and one stop was tomato sandwiches!
