I think the tan color is more spring like! How are you planning to have all of the groomsmen purchase/find these items--here lies our dilemma....? I'd love the guys to wear blue button downs, navy blazer, chinos, and loafers! great minds think alike ;-) or UVA grads think alike, haha
I can totally sympathize with that. We originally wanted to go with a chain store to simplify the process, but we really couldn't find the quality and options we wanted. Are you in Richmond? If so I highly recommend working with Peter Blair on Grove. My fiance is giving them a spreadsheet with all the guy's sizes and they are going to take care of everything- including hemming the pants! Plus, the service is just so much more personalized. I think the same would be true with a local men's store anywhere.
Cream trousers, if the wedding is going to be held some place warm or in the Spring/Summer. Otherwise I would go with the other trousers. Happy planning!!
Yakety yakety yak. When you are you choosing what I'll be wearing? I want a blue and yellow madras bow tie. Don't you think that will tie (no pun intended) in nicely with what everyone else is wearing?
I'm gonna be the outlier here and say light gray. If you're getting married inside and it isn't the height of late spring/early summer (i.e. Memorial Day weekend) and then your reception is inside, I think gray will look more put together and sophisticated. And every groom and his brother and third cousin has worn khakis and a blue blazer lately. So switch it up!
Black or gray trousers is the most appropriate for a wedding, I think. But for Spring season, cream can never go wrong. I go for the blue shirt paired with a white or silver tie.

Coming from a man who owns more pink than he'd like to admit, I would choose the "cream" pants, but I would refer to them in public as Khaki.
