Does anyone else but me much prefer carrot sticks to baby carrots when it comes to eating them raw in crudite?

Baby carrots aren't really young carrots - just another "convenience" (probably full of chemicals) to justify the high price. It's frustrating that you can only buy those or 5 lb. bags of carrots. "Bunny Luv" carrots are delicious but who buys 5 lbs of carrots at a time?

And I really hate it when you are halfway through the bag and they start to get all slimey and gross and you have to throw them away.
Plus, they are too sweet for me. I'd rather peel a real carrot and slice it up any day.

But how do you get the carrots cut into nice sticks? I don't think I am that talented with a knife. But yes, the baby carrots are too sweet. And potentially slimey.

I do think they tend to be sweet. I'm sure the real California carrots are the best.

I prefer carrot sticks, but I also prefer not having to peel/cut them myself, so I'm always torn. The real carrots usually win because they're less expensive and I like them better.

Carrots sticks , without a doubt. Even better little ones with the greenery still attached!
