Any thoughts on save the dates that are magnets?

One of our friends did this ... it was a small square magnet that had an image of their church, their names and date. Their church was in a resort area so it was a neat watercolor image of it. People really used them because they were so cute.

I think they are great - we got one from a friend last year. Neat idea.

i like them only if the bride and groom's faces are not hugely in the middle. i've seen cute dates written in the sand, or their dog with a sign, or a photo...all nice options.

the only issue is that people with stainless steel fridges can't use them ... they wont stick!

And they're expensive.....save your $$ and spend it on the band and the food!!!

i like the magnets better than some other options...practical and creative. but i don't think that save the dates are absolutely necessary at this point. and could be a place to save money! everyone who was invited to our wedding already knew the date anyway!!
