Sorry for the late post! Yesterday was my birthday, when I turned the age that is older than my mom was when she had me. Yikes! As someone pointed out, it's a good thing I'm engaged because otherwise I would be an UNHAPPY camper.
We are almost exactly eight months out from the wedding and I'm starting to think a bit more about details. Here are some of the items on my list:
I have decided I'd like a ginger jar look for my table arrangements. Is this weird? I can really see beautiful yellow flowers pouring out of this:
The fiance has Massachusetts roots, so we are going to buy navigational chart cocktail napkins featuring Marblehead, MA:
I fell in love with this idea before I was engaged (click on the picture for the original post from Snippet & Ink). I'm not sure if Virginia peanuts have been done a bit too much at this point, but I don't really care! Everyone prefers edible favors, and I have a feeling these will be appreciated at the end of the night! Also, they can be prepared well ahead of time.

I think the ginger jars would be great, as long as they are low enough for your guests to see each other across the table. Thats a pet peeve when I have to crane around some ginormous arrangement to discuss the beauty of the bride!
I love the Virginia peanuts (perfect munchie)! I had my mom's homemade jam, Moon Pies and Jack Daniels in my out-of-town gift bags.
The people coming on the buses :) (yikes!) will love the peanuts.
