Wedding Styling

I was flipping through Town & Country Weddings yesterday and came across the prettiest pictures from Olivia Chantecaille's wedding. (This picture is from an interview with her over at Darcy Miller's The Bride's Guide.) It may be hard to see in this picture, but what caught my eye is the way she has both a flower and a veil in her hair. I don't think I've ever seen a bride styled this way- generally you see a flower or a veil- and I think it's quite nice. Also like the front tied sash and, of course, the gorgeous material of the dress.

That fabric is amazing. I like the flower/veil duo and it works together without being too much.

Very pretty and feminine. I am looking forward to the fall issue of MS Weddings with the Grace Bonney/Design*Sponge wedding spread too!!

The bow is just gorgeous. Love the rose/peony bouquet too.

i LOVE the flower veil due too!! then, when you get to the reception and want to take the veil off, your hair still looks really pretty!

Oh, I had no idea! What a cool real world/blog world connection.

Btw, I wore an antique, floor-length veil that mom also wore (it was old in 1976 too). I was skeptical at first, but it gave the whole ceremony this heightened sense of drama. I think a flower tucked in your 'do (I assume you're wearing it up, LCG?) would be lovely once you've taken your veil off.
