One of our readers is wondering...
With all the 4th of July cookouts coming up, I was wondering: Do people prefer to see their hosts serving up traditional fare (burgers, hot dogs, potato salad, etc) or getting a little more creative with some more "upscale" items?
Thoughts from the crowd?

I think it's fun to try new "upscale" grill items, as long as it doesn't make it to hard for the griller to enjoy the rest of the festivities.
I'm always happy with hot dogs. However, I like to see interesting sides and desserts. - LG(O)
Most people are probably just thrilled to be invited someplace - especially if they don't have to stand outside grilling something when the heat and humidity levels are off the chart.
