Although I am philisophically opposed to Pottery Barn, I would love to have the Brady Entryway Collection. It turns out Farrell has also had her eye on it...-LG

What is wrong with Pottery Barn?

I don't know what the girls think but here's one problem with it. PB, Crate & Barrel, etc. stuff isn't generally well made & it's relatively expensive for the quality. They've done a great marketing job on websites like The Wedding Channel convincing everyone these stores are the only places to register. So...everyone's house looks the same and furniture (& home furnishings) makers in America are going out of business because they can't compete against the cheap labor markets in China.

I guess I feel sort of like the second anonymous. It is so ubiquitous and the price is quite high to have something that so many other people have.

I totally agree, although I do like the concept of an organized entryway. IKEA has the same ubiquitous qualities, but at least it's less expensive and more modern. PB is...clunky. If I really had $$ to spend on furniture, I'd be buying at Design Within Reach, which ironically isn't within my reach, but at least it's well-made. Room and Board is great too.

Lauren, y'all have such good readership--I bet you could run ads and do quite well (unless you're opposed to it). I've had good luck with BlogHer thus far....

That unit in the red color would be cool.
