Back to the Basics

Our friend Lindsey really knows how to make the most of her money. She emailed me recently and let me know that she had found a great banana bread recipe. If you live by yourself (or even with one other person) a banana bread recipe is great to have on file. After all, who ever eats a whole bunch of bananas before they start to go bad? This recipe is so easy, and the results are great. To the left is a picture of my handy avocado masher mid-mash. Keep in mind that the bread bakes for a full hour, so plan accordingly. - LG

The pink mixing bowl is from Williams-Sonoma. If you don't have a set of their Melamine bowls, it is time to invest!

Mmmm, I love banana bread, especially if you throw in a few chocolate chips!

Just a tip....definitely put the bread on a cooling rack after it's done. And don't leave it in the pan for too long. It can get kind of soggy because the heat of the pan causes condensation. But mine came out great! - Lindsey
